This skilfully executed oil painting vividly captures the dynamic energy of a basketball court . John’s marks on the surface of the repurposed melamine board breathe life and energy into the composition, depicting the vibrant hues of the court with an array of vivid greens that seem to drag and drip across the surface. The recycled melamine, with its smooth surface, adds a distinctive character to the artwork, symbolising the beauty that can emerge from an unconventional material.
